Hi, we're Matt and Greg, and together we created TreeMate, the tough, sustainable stand that's built to last and loved every Christmas.
Origin
Seven years ago, two mates—Matt and Rowan—kicked off a simple Christmas tradition in Manly, Sydney: selling the best real Australian Christmas trees to local families and raising money for those doing it tough. A win-win that spread smiles and good vibes through the festive season.
But every year the same snag popped up—the only choices were cheap, flimsy tree stands made overseas, or an imported stand from America that had travelled halfway around the world.
When Matt and his family later moved to Noosa to stay close to their own kin—because family's what it's all about—he didn't drop the ball on the mission. He set up Noosa Christmas Trees. Meanwhile, Rowan kept the Sydney dream alive, growing and selling trees the way they'd always planned.
Genesis
Up in Noosa, Matt caught up with his good mate Greg—a clever toolmaker, designer, and true-blue Aussie tinkerer. When Matt floated the idea of an Aussie-made Christmas tree stand, Greg mulled it over for a day… then jumped in with both feet. They both agreed neither cut the mustard. So, what did they do? They decided to build something better. Something Aussie.
